Qualityscore of Post Larvae

Dear EuroShrimp Community Members,

Shrimp production is conducted in about 13 European countries and Hatcheries are developing within Europe to provide farmers with larvae. But how do you know if the quality of the larvae is good? This is an important question for both, the hatchery and the farmer. Mostly the assessment of quality is a matter of experience.

Scientists from AWI Bremerhaven had the idea, if an introduction of a standardized quality score for the larvae based on a standard analyzing procedure could be helpful to support hatcheries and farmers. To bring science and application on the same level, it would be very helpful for the development of a project, if you could support these scientists by participating in a very short survey, sharing your experiences and opinion during the next days.

You can find the survey on https://www.umfrageonline.com/c/yip3jwvp or by following this link to the survey

Thank you very much for your contribution!

Kind wishes and all the best from The EuroShrimp Team
